A breathtaking mountain valley cradling two majestic barns. About 2OO years old but lovingly restored, sunlight twinkles in through the rafters, bird nests hide in the joists, fireflies dance outside after twilight. Candy color sunsets, fragrant breezes, and on clear nights you can see the Milky Way.
THE BARNS
Even after thorough restoration and repair, both barns remain true to their original architecture and style, retaining the charm of their hand hewn beams, tin roof, and century-old magic. But they’re also appropriately appointed for even formal events, with new bathrooms, pristine hardwood floors, hot and cold water, wifi, and hand-blown-glass antique pendant lights.
THE AREA
Nestled in the shadows of majestic Hunter and Windham Mountains, Hayfield is in the heart of Catskill State Park and the gorgeous Catskill Mountains, surrounded by stunning waterfalls, breathtaking hiking trails, and bucolic farmland.
Visit a spa, golf, zip-line, or fly-fish. Discover secret swimming holes or swim in wide open lakes. Hike to the top of the tallest two-tier waterfall in New York State or drive to a lookout with a panoramic view of 5 states. Browse charming antique stores and farm stands, roast marshmallows while gazing up at the mountains, or sip local bourbon by a roaring fire.
NEARBY HOTELS
Hayfield is within just 15 minutes of the towns of Hunter, Windham, and Tannersville, with many hotels, restaurants, cafes, bookstores, antique shops in the immediate area. We are happy to share a thorough list of nearby accommodations!
SUPPORT
Hayfield hosts only about a dozen events per year, May – October, so you can have our full attention and support throughout the planning process and on the event day.
We’re happy to offer a curated list of recommended vendors designed around your aesthetic and your budget parameters, ideate design executions with you, and provide lists of nearby accommodations.
FURNITURE
We have custom designed, hand built dining tables and ceremony benches, enough to accommodate up to ~15O guests. A modern interpretation of a classic design, they were all crafted by hand with wood joinery and no power tools involved.
In addition, we have turn of the century wooden folding dining chairs, an antique hand-crafted bar, and two gorgeous wooden antique display tables.
Hayfield Catskills — A Boutique Barn Wedding Venue in the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York
Hayfield Catskills is a boutique, rustic-chic, elegant wedding venue nestled in a high mountain valley in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York, in Maplecrest and within Catskill State Park. The venue features two lovingly restored 200-year-old barns with hand-hewn beams and century-old character enhanced by modern amenities (plumbing, Wi-Fi, hardwood floors) and stunning natural light. Hayfield hosts a limited number of weddings each year (May through October), offering full support throughout planning and event day. With room for up to ~160 seated guests indoors and larger events with a tent on our lawn, Hayfield is ideal for couples seeking intimate, design-forward weddings in a dramatic mountain landscape, in an area rich with waterfalls, hiking trails, and sunset mountain views.
