H A Y F I E L D

The vision for Hayfield materialized after we stumbled upon the most breathtaking mountain valley we had ever seen.
When we wandered into the majestic barns – old but venerable, standing proudly and elegantly on their perch, sunlight
streaming in through the rafters, the redolence of dry hay in the air, bird nests hiding in the joists – we just had to save them.
Our vision was to preserving the wild, rustic beauty and bucolic charm that existed in a polished and refined finished product.

After months of painstaking restoration and repair, both barns each remain true to their original architecture and style.
But they have gained new elements like three bathrooms, a mezzanine, pristine hardwood floors, running water,
and electricity. So Hayfield's barns are structurally safe and sound, they offer logistical ease to vendors, they
provide comforts and amenities for guests, and they are appropriately appointed for an elegant or even a formal event.

MAPLECREST

Hayfield is located in the heart of Catskill State Park and the Catskill Mountains, at the highest elevation in New York State. Surrounded by waterfalls, hiking trails, farmland, and nestled in the shadows of majestic Hunter and Windham Mountains.

Visit a spa, play golf, hike the tallest two-tier waterfall in New York State and take in breathtaking vistas. Or simply stroll the main streets of nearby towns, browse charming antique stores, taste local wines and enjoy some of the best farm-to-table cuisine north of the city.

NEARBY ACCOMMODATIONS

A few of the recommended accommodations include the stunning Deer Mountain Inn and the adirondack style Hotel Mountain Brook, both in Tannersville. Also consider the simple-chic Spruceton Inn, and the trendy The Graham and Co in Phoenicia.

If many of your guests prefer to take the train from NYC, consider basing your weekend in the town of Hudson, just two hours on Amtrak from Penn Station. Hudson is a charming historic town that is totally walkable, and filled with cafes, restaurants, antique shops and many hotel options.
